Acupuncture for TMJ Nueralgia

TMD or TMJ pain is clinically associated with pain while chewing, the inability to open the mouth with a clicking or popping sound and/or pain when opening or closing the jaw, tender spots along the jaw muscles, headaches, migraines, tinnitus (ringing in ear), and/or head and neck muscle tension.

Dr. Fang is certified to treat Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ Disorder), TMJ Neuralgia, Migraines, Dizziness or Vertigo, Nausea, and Headaches through TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Acupressure and Acupuncture techniques.  Her treatment allows for long term pain and symptoms management without taking prescription pain medications.

TCM Acupuncture has been used for centuries to treat pain management and TMJ pain, TMJ neuralgia, migraines, vertigo, nausea, and headaches.  Western researchers have found acupuncture reduces pain sensation through direct stimulation of the nerve, which changes the quality of signaling along nerve cells. Further studies show acupuncture directly stimulates the release of endorphins and neurotransmitters, which are naturally occurring substances that help dampen and block pain perception by the brain.
